FYRLYT Driving Lights - LUXSIS 5000 - NEMESIS 9000 - MOFO 12000

Our customers switched from LED & HID driving lights.

When it comes to buying driving lights, today's market bombards you with LED lights being the only solution. Are they truly the best? FYRLYT challenges this status quo. Here's the evidence: real drivers, just like you, who in good faith invested in LEDs and HID driving lights, only to soon find they fell short. Yes, they were bright but they lacked detail, caused glare and increased driver fatigue with frequent usage, especially in dust, rain, or moisture laden air. They switched to FYRLYT and experienced a dramatic difference. Read FYRLYT CUSTOMER FEEDBACK for yourself.

FYRLYT driving lights. Beyond LED. More detail. Less glare.

A bold claim we support with accepted relevant scientific principles. We choose to provide this information rather than marketing hype that often misleads and misconstrues what is important in a quality driving light. If your priority is maximising your night driving safety then FYRLYT is the answer.

One light chassis. 3 output levels.

FYRLYT's LUXSIS / NEMESIS / MOFO driving lights are built on a shared design housing, mount, and reflector lens assembly. The mount, spot/spread selectable bulb holder and lens bezel are precision CNC machined with a crystalline clear tempered pyrex glass lens. Each model uses a different output xenophot halogen light source. The 12V NEMESIS 9000 and 12V MOFO 12000 utilise specific 12-24V step-up convertors.

Light quality beyond LED? How?

You maybe surprised by FYRLYT's deliberate choice of HALOGEN as its light source in a market dominated by LED driving lights. This is no ordinary halogen bulb you may associate with older standard halogen headlights that appeared yellow and dull. This is a xenophot halogen that delivers an extraordinary light quality. Why are people switching to FYRLYT having used LED and HID? Simple. Less glare and more detail in all conditions. Easier transition (dark adaptation) from high beam to low beam especially in high frequency usage. Whether you drive a 4x4, truck, bus, motorhome, SUV or family sedan your choice of driving light is a key decision you make in your level of night driving safety.

Feedback from a 15 year 4x4 industry veteran

Provided by Adam Scott... "If it helps, I have worked in mechanical and in sales for both the major 4WD stores in Australia over the past 15 years. Always owning modified 4x4's and driving a lot of off-road conditions. Safe to say I have driven with almost every driving light available from XGT HID, Genesis HID, Narva Extreme HID, Rigid Industries LED, Great White LED, STEDI LED, IPF Extreme Sport LED and most of the HELLA range to name a few. I have also sold literally hundreds of FYRLYTs to many customers off my own personal experience and recommendation. I have use the FYRLYT NEMESIS since its release (I'm guessing about 8 years ago). Survived everything I have put them through and light output/drivability beyond anything else (no single light can do everything). Followed up by unprecedented knowledge and support from people such as Paul Alisauskas who will personally provide you with hours of his time to explain/warrant and backup his quality product. I suggest you drive with a pair and make your own decision..."

LED driving lights. The short wavelength concerns.

LED, HID and Halogen each have their own qualities and within each many variables. The first point to validate is its safety in both immediate and long-term usage. Refer to unbiased research and investigate the exact spectral properties of the specific LED chip from engineering data sheets, instead of generic marketing claims. FYRLYT reinforces its decade plus position regarding the negative effects of short-wavelength light within the intensity and specification range of typical LED driving lights. Before investing in new or replacement lights, consider the research. LED SHORTWAVELENGTH CONCERNS

Light quality is #01. Look past the bright daylight hype.

Choosing the right lighting goes beyond simply picking the brightest option. In fact, excessive glare will negatively impact your vision and limit your ability to see details at relevant distances. This can be especially detrimental in low-light situations or as we age, when our eyesight and reaction times naturally diminish. At FYRLYT, we believe that true safety lies in balanced, high-quality lighting that prioritises clear vision and minimises fatigue.

'1 LUX @ X' claims? Be aware of the truth.

Look out for brands or media that market driving lights misusing the "1 LUX " claim. This common construct, indicating that a light has 1 LUX at a certain distance, is often used as a marketing tactic to convince you of superior performance. In reality, it has little to no merit other than being a hypothetical claim in a laboratory. We reveal the truth you need to consider. THE TRUTH ABOUT 1 LUX & DRIVING LIGHTS.

LEDs after warranty? 50000 hours?

LED and HID driving lights are generally non-repairable and inevitably decay in output, regardless of cost or brand. Many LED driving light manufacturers advertise impressive lifespans, often exceeding 50,000 hours. However, this refers to the point when the light output falls below a certain threshold (often 70%). Whilst your lights might technically "function" for years, they will decrease in brightness. Once past warranty you are often forced to replace which is great for the brand and reseller but not your wallet. Then there is the environmental cost never considered by those that see cheap lights as a disposable commodity with no after thought.

Engineered for a lifetime

FYRLYT's considered design allows for easy maintenance of all components, ensuring your driving lights or spotlights can perform like new for years to come at minimal cost. Every component is available and in most cases user serviceable. No other brand offers this benefit. This is a significant cost-saving for fleet commercial operators while also prioritising their drivers' safety during night time driving.

Direct consultation

We have a quick easy consultation form where you can ask your own specific questions or seek advice re your driving light needs with no obligation. If FYRLYT is not ideal for your purpose we will say so. FYRLYT DIRECT CONSULTATION

Why you don't see FYRLYT in mainstream media?

We are very conspicuous by our absence and it is a good question to ask why? Simple. FYRLYT is contrary to the LED technology trend and calls many generic claims into question. It is quite simply easier for the media to ignore us rather than cause issues with their combined revenue of LED advertisers. Media brands are 100% reliant and compete for advertising revenue from 'X' number of LED brands and resellers. This is a commercial reality. FYRLYT chooses to deal direct with the you the consumer. This allows us the to share valuable information on all relevant factors re lighting performance without prejudice or agenda.

Professional installer or DIY? MUST READ.

You have a choice of a genuine FYRLYT harness or DIY to the model specification. There are two versions of harness. One for the LUXSIS 5000 and one for the NEMESIS 9000 and MOFO 12000. It is VITAL these specifications be followed exactly. NEVER CONNECT TO SECOND BATTERY in dual battery setups. Use specified gauge wiring and quality relays. A typical existing light harness WILL NOT WORK and your lights will not perform to specification (typically dull due to incorrect voltage at the bulb). In over 12 years, 99.99% of any issues come back to people not following the instructions. Any questions at time of install either by either a professional or DIY, just give us a call.

Why FYRLYT driving lights instead of LED? 4 reasons.

Many driving light brands will claim to be the best with generic marketing claims you are expected to believe in good faith. FYRLYT takes a different approach and prioritises scientific principles to deliver unrivalled light quality. We are the only brand sharing this knowledge specific to driving lights. The market and the media obsess over "bright white light" and meaningless "1 LUX @ X distance" figures that lack context or tangible benefit. If driving safety is your top priority, look beyond the marketing and seek the specific information re the light source and its spectral power distribution. Questions? Ask our design team direct.

#01 - CRI

Colour Rendering Index (CRI) measures a light's colour accuracy. It is important to ensure safe and accurate colour recognition of road signs and environmental objects. FYRLYT driving lights deliver the maximum 100 CRI. Typical LEDs only deliver 70-85 and typically deficient in the red part of the spectrum, vital for maximum light quality for night driving.

#02 - VISUAL ACUITY

Visual acuity is crucial for driving lights as it allows drivers to see details on the road ahead, detect potential hazards & read road signs, contributing to safer driving. Our customers who have come from LED and HID often comment this is one of the first qualities they notice. Being able to identify animals in situations they previously could not or in time to avoid a collision.

#03 - TYNDALL EFFECT

The Tyndall effect is the scattering of light by particles in the air. It is important for driving lights to minimise glare and improve visibility in dust, smoke, rain, fog and snow. A typical LED driving light with shortwave length light will perform poorly in these conditions and often you are better turning the lights off or if possible dim the brightness. FYRLYT on the other hand will minimise these issues.

#04 - DARK ADAPTATION

Dark adaptation is important when dipping your driving lights and transitioning from from high beam to low beam. Your eyes need to quickly adjust to the lower light level and maintain visibility and minimise reaction times to avoid hazards. LED driving lights, especially those 4500+ compromise this dark adaptation due to the short wavelength bias of light output. FYRLYT is the better solution.
