NEW CNC BILLET LENS BEZEL! It's a BILLET TRIFECTA!

1/11/23 - FYRLYT has evolved the driving light design to utilise a CNC machined billet alloy bezel to mount the lens. All driving lights will now ship with this update at no extra cost. This system is also retrofittable to ALL EXISTING FYRLYT DRIVING LIGHTS allowing customers to upgrade to this new design.

See the new design in the ONLINE STORE HERE!

Why FYRLYT instead of LED? 4 reasons.

Core to FYRLYT's superior light quality is four scientific principles. FYRLYT is the lone voice in sharing this information with you whilst others and the media seem fixated on 'bright white light' and often meaningless '1 LUX @ X distance without relevant context. If driving safety is your priority you need to look beyond marketing.

C.R.I.

Colour Rendering Index (CRI) measures a light's colour accuracy. It is important to ensure safe and accurate colour recognition of road signs and environmental objects.

OZ 2.png

VISUAL ACUITY

Visual acuity is crucial for driving lights as it allows drivers to see details on the road ahead, detect potential hazards & read road signs, contributing to safer driving.

OZ 3.png

TYNDALL EFFECT

The Tyndall effect is the scattering of light by particles in the air. Important for driving lights to reduce glare and improve visibility in dust, smoke, rain, fog and snow.

OZ 4.png

DARK ADAPTATION

Dark adaptation is important when dipping from high beam to low beam to allow the eyes to quickly adjust to the lower light level and maintain visibility and reaction times to avoid hazards.

Why choose FYRLYT as your driving lights?

FYRLYT's LUXSIS / NEMESIS / MOFO driving lights are designed for touring, expedition and truck/transport requiring maximum relevant distance, visual detail and less eye fatigue. This is especially important when travelling at sustained speed for extended time. FYRLYT products are designed with lifetime durability beyond warranty.

Beyond LED. Halogen but not as you may think.

You maybe surprised by FYRLYT's deliberate choice of HALOGEN as its light source in a market dominated by LED driving lights. Why are people switching to FYRLYT having used LED and HID? Simple. Less glare and more detail in all conditions. Easier transition (dark adaptation) from high beam to low beam especially in high frequency usage. Whether you drive a 4x4, truck, bus, motorhome, SUV or family sedan your choice of driving light is a key decision you make in your level of night driving safety.

Driving lights & eye safety you should consider

LED, HID, or Halogen? The first point to validate is its safety in both immediate and long-term usage. Refer to unbiased research and investigate the exact spectral properties of the specific LED chip from engineering data sheets, instead of relying on a brands' marketing claims. FYRLYT reinforces its ten-plus-year position regarding the effects of short-wavelength light within the intensity and specification range of typical LED driving lights. Before investing in new or replacement lights, consider the research. MORE INFO >HERE.

Customers switch from LED & HID to FYRLYT

With LED lighting being heavily promoted by many brands, media, and salespeople, it's completely natural to have questions about alternative options like FYRLYT. To help you make an informed decision, we encourage you to explore real-world experiences from FYRLYT customers who made the switch from LED or HID. Read their honest feedback HERE.

Feedback from a 15 year 4x4 industry veteran

Provided by Adam Scott... "If it helps, I have worked in mechanical and in sales for both the major 4WD stores in Australia over the past 15 years. Always owning modified 4x4's and driving a lot of off-road conditions. Safe to say I have driven with almost every driving light available from XGT HID, Genesis HID, Narva Extreme HID, Rigid Industries LED, Great White LED, STEDI LED, IPF Extreme Sport LED and most of the HELLA range to name a few. I have also sold literally hundreds of FYRLYTs to many customers off my own personal experience and recommendation. I have use the FYRLYT NEMESIS since its release (I'm guessing about 8 years ago). Survived everything I have put them through and light output/drivability beyond anything else (no single light can do everything). Followed up by unprecedented knowledge and support from people such as Paul Alisauskas who will personally provide you with hours of his time to explain/warrant and backup his quality product. I suggest you drive with a pair and make your own decision..."

Light quality is #01.

Choosing the right lighting, especially for safety-critical applications, goes beyond simply picking the brightest option. In fact, excessive glare can actually hinder your vision and limit your ability to see details at relevant distances and within your field of view. This can be especially detrimental in low-light situations or as we age, when our eyesight and reaction times naturally change. At FYRLYT, we believe that true safety lies in balanced, high-quality lighting that prioritizes clear vision and comfort.

'1 LUX @ X'? What you need to consider.

Be wary of brands or media that market driving lights misusing the "1 LUX " claim. This construct, indicating that a light has 1 LUX at a certain distance, is often used as a sales tactic to convince you of superior performance. In reality, it has little to no merit other than being indicative. We reveal the truth you need to consider. > HERE.

LEDs after warranty?

LED and HID driving lights are generally non-repairable and inevitably decay in output, regardless of cost or brand. Even lights costing $1000+ are not exempt. 50000 hour claims are absurd and frankly deceptive. Once past warranty you are often forced to replace which is great for the brand and reseller but not your wallet. Then there is the environmental cost often not considered by those that see cheap lights as a disposable commodity with little after thought.

Engineered for a lifetime

FYRLYT's considered design allows for easy maintenance of all components, ensuring your driving lights or spotlights can perform like new for years to come at minimal cost. Every component is available and in most cases user serviceable. No other brand offers this benefit. This is a significant cost-saving for fleet commercial operators while also prioritising their drivers' safety during night time driving.

Direct consultation

We have a quick easy consultation form where you can ask your own specific questions or seek advice re your driving light needs with no obligation. If FYRLYT is not the right fit for your purpose we will say so. The FORM is > HERE.

Why you don't see FYRLYT in mainstream media

FYRLYT is contrary to the LED technology trend and calling many generic claims into question. This puts the media in a very awkward situation. They are totally reliant on advertising revenue from 'X' number of LED brands and resellers. This is a commercial reality and one we have long accepted. FYRLYT chooses to deal direct with the market. This gives us the freedom to share valuable information on all relevant factors re lighting performance. What we claim can be independently validated by accepted scientific principles beyond any hype or inconvenient truths.

Professional installer or DIY? MUST READ.

It is VITAL the specifications be followed exactly. NEVER CONNECT TO SECOND BATTERY in dual battery setups! Use correct specified gauge wiring and relays. A typical existing light harness will not work and your lights will either be dull or malfunction. In over 12 years, 99.99% of any issues come back to incorrect installation. Even when done by paid 'experts' who think they know better. Any questions at time of install either by professional or DIY, just give us a call!
