Why choose FYRLYT as your driving lights?

FYRLYT's LUXSIS / NEMESIS / MOFO driving lights are designed for touring, expedition and truck/transport requiring maximum relevant distance, visual detail and minimal eye fatigue especially travelling at a sustained 100Km/h - 55mph+. An ideal combination is a set of FYRLYTs at headlight level for covering distance and if an expedition/touring installation, strategically placed quality LEDs for setting up a campsite or recovery. If in frequent tight terrain a compact high quality lightbar with a broad spread covers all scenarios.

Beyond LED. Halogen but not as you may think.

In 2022 you maybe surprised by FYRLYT's deliberate choice of HALOGEN as its light source in a market dominated by LED driving lights. Why are people switching to FYRLYT having used LED and HID? Simple. Less glare and distraction in all conditions. More visual detail. Easier transition from high beam to low beam especially in high frequency usage. Whether you drive a 4x4, truck, bus, motorhome, SUV or family sedan your choice of driving light is a key decision you make in your level of night driving safety.

Driving lights & eye safety

When considering a light source (LED, HID, or Halogen), the first point to validate is its safety in both immediate and long-term usage. To make an informed decision, refer to unbiased research and investigate the exact spectral properties of the specific LED chip from engineering data sheets, instead of relying on brands' marketing claims. FYRLYT reinforces its ten-plus-year position regarding the effects of short-wavelength light within the intensity and specification range of typical LED driving lights. Before investing in new or replacement lights, consider the research. MORE INFO >HERE.

Customers switch from LED & HID to FYRLYT

Given the majority of brands, media and salespeople promote LED lighting it is understandable you maybe hesitant in considering FYRLYT. Consider though their vested interests. Critical thinking would suggest looking past this and reading actual user feedback from FYRLYT customers. They made a deliberate choice to switch from LED or HID. Read their feedback HERE.

Industry feedback

Provided by Adam Scott... "If it helps, I have worked in mechanical and in sales for both the major 4WD stores in Australia over the past 15 years. Always owning modified 4x4's and driving a lot of off-road conditions. Safe to say I have driven with almost every driving light available from XGT HID, Genesis HID, Narva Extreme HID, Rigid Industries LED, Great White LED, STEDI LED, IPF Extreme Sport LED and most of the HELLA range to name a few. I have also sold literally hundreds of FYRLYTs to many customers off my own personal experience and recommendation. I have use the FYRLYT NEMESIS since its release (I'm guessing about 8 years ago). Survived everything I have put them through and light output/drivability beyond anything else (no single light can do everything). Followed up by unprecedented knowledge and support from people such as Paul Alisauskas who will personally provide you with hours of his time to explain/warrant and backup his quality product. I suggest you drive with a pair and make your own decision..."

Light quality is #01.

A poor quality light source compromises your safety in any driving light. This includes lights that appear super bright and includes the cheapest to the most expensive regardless of brand. If they compromise your vision with undue glare and limit your ability to resolve detail within the relevant distance and field of view it's counterproductive. Consider the reality of your adaptive night vision and reaction times, especially as you age.

'1 LUX @ X'? Just stop!

Be cautious of brands or media that market driving lights misusing the "1 LUX " claim. This construct, indicating that a light has 1 LUX at a certain distance, is often used as a sales tactic to convince you of superior performance. If a brand mentions .25 of lux to quote a meaningless distance you would get better advice at 3am on a cable tv shopping network selling steak knives and wrinkle cream. In reality, it has little to no merit other than being indicative. It is a sales gimmick that is best consigned to the 1990's. We reveal the truth you need to consider. > HERE.

LEDs after warranty?

LED and HID driving lights are non-repairable and inevitably decay in output, regardless of cost or brand. Even lights costing $1600+ are not exempt. Brands claiming full performance of 50,000 hours should be viewed with scepticism as this is absolute nonsense even by the chip manufacturers. Hybrid HID/LED lights with four sealed electronic components often cannot be repaired and force you to repurchase if out of warranty, a ridiculous cost for both you and the environment with little able to be recycled.

Engineered for a lifetime.

FYRLYT's smart design allows for easy maintenance of all components, ensuring your driving lights or spotlights can perform like new for years to come at minimal cost. We do not overprice our components and no other brand offers this benefit. This is a significant cost-saving benefit for fleet commercial operators while also maximizing their drivers' safety during night time driving. With FYRLYT, you get greater safety and reduced running costs.

Installing LUXSIS-NEMESIS-MOFO

Jamie Benaud from Australian Images shares his DIY experience of installing FYRLYT LUXSIS and NEMESIS (same as the new MOFO). This is a great way to work out whether you wish to DIY or use an installer. We provide DIY wiring diagrams below if you want to fly solo. It is VITAL the specifications be followed exactly. An existing light harness will not work and your lights will either be dull or malfunction. In over 10 years 99.99% of any issues always come back to incorrect wiring. (Even when done by 'experts' who do not read the instructions!)

For truck drivers and frequent high beam usage, NEMESIS is the light to consider. If you have a 24V system you save even more money! (due to no step-up convertors being req'd). There is no other light that offers the performance per dollar for commercial operators.
